{wedding} Last minute Wedding Preparation and Invitations!

Well, here it is. The wedding date. It is almost here! I am going batty! It has been a whirlwind of a few weeks. Everything has gone so smoothly though. I am so thankful for so many helpful friends and family! With their help, we have managed to get (almost) everything done! My lovely friend came to stay with us from out of state to help with all of the preparations. I think I may have had a nervous breakdown without her help!

Here is a run down on what we've been working on:
(These photos are only "snippets"... I will be posting more on these individually after the wedding... Gotta keep a few things a secret!)

-Fabric flowers and bouquets

-DIY cupcake stands and cake stand for the dessert table
please excuse my terrible photo! they look better in person I promise! :)
-Banners and flags

-And last, but not least, Ceremony programs and Invitations, handmade by us

These were a labor of love. We worked so hard to keep every aspect of our wedding unique to ourselves, and I feel that we have succeeded so far.

Wrapped on the inside is a screenprinted fabric piece. We were originally going to print our own tea towel invitations, but then decided that people may not want to display something that has out of date information on it once the wedding has passed. Our final decision was to create something that our guests could frame, add as a quilt square to a blanket, sew into a pillow, or whatever tickled their fancy!

Here is a photo of me printing them. I was not happy. I got to a point where I never wanted to see another one! ;-)

yes, our garage is our studio. please excuse the mess!! (and also excuse my appearance!)

But, finally, they were completed.
